Tomas qualified with 12 other year 2 students for a spelling bee. A real one! The kids were on stage in front of the rest of the stage 2 students.

Tomas did so well! There were 5 kids including Tomas fighting for third place – all were equally matched. The kids all spelt the level 2 words correctly, so the teacher jumped to level 3 words, and none of the kids could get those right. So after about 5 rounds, they finally got a winner. Tomas lost out. He misheard the Aussie teacher ask him to spell: carnivore – he heard carnival!

We were so proud of our son, being confident on stage, and keeping his emotions together at the end. How much he’s grown!

Under 8 boys had to swim 50m in 1 minute to qualify for Coogee Nippers. And the verdict is…..

Tomas and best mate Lachlan qualified!!!

And Harry Potter is there!

Packing, playing, preparing….

And then we got the keys to our new house!!!!

An impromptu dinner out with friends and wow, the kids were so civilized – a great bday  pressie!

And then a few nights later, a fab dinner out my my lovely girl friends. Still hoping to get one more dinner out with Mike once we’ve moved house!

Tomas missed his last day because he was really sick poor thing.
