I can’t believe how quickly this year has flown by! My little bub is 1 already! We had a small celebration at home on his b-day (the 1st) as his party would have to wait until Tomas recovered from a nasty virus.

This past Wednesday we finally threw Ethan the party he deserved! We held the party at our local park down the street where we usually go in the afternoons. There were 17 kids (including babies) – the largest group of kids at one of our parties!

We had sushi, chips and fruit, which was all fine and dandy, but the highlight was the cake as always. This year I made a caterpillar cake after the Very Hungry Caterpillar book (as my inspiration).  It turned out rather well I think and tasted good too! Ethan wasn’t too thrilled with eating the cake however. (He was more interested in how to get the wrapper back on the cupcake). I tried and tried to get him to take a bite with no luck. Maybe next year!
